Lanak giggled, the sound coming through her nose as her mouth was still submerged below the waterline, and pure amusement lit up her eyes as Tukru leapt straight into the air. Oh the mighty hunter, she thought playfully. In reality, Tukru WAS a mighty hunter, the best she’d ever known, and only a fool would think to cross him but that only made his leap all the funnier to Lanak. To think that the same being who could fell a sturmbeest would propel himself out of the water like a frightened girl when his tail was grabbed. Lanak rose slightly from the water, just barely resting her chin along its surface as she grinned up at her mate and met his narrowed eyes. She knew full well he wasn’t mad at her, games such as these had been played by them many times in their youth, and it was proven a moment later when even he couldn’t help but break into a smile. Lanak chuckled and turned her face away, covering her eyes with one arm as Tukru shook the water from his hair, pelting her with stray droplets.
She turned her head back in time to see her mate rise from the water, looking like a mythic figure in one of the many legends she knew. The gas planet rose high behind him, throwing his broad shoulders into silhouette and reflecting green and gold across his eyes. She found herself breathless for what was certainly not the first, nor would it be the last, time in her life as she beheld the majestic form that was Tukru’atan, her soul bonded. The light from the water reflected in thin ribbons across his face and chest, across arms chiseled with hard work and long hunts. Water glimmered in perfect beads over his blue skin and she knew that he alone was the only thing on all of Pandora that she would worship as much as Eywa herself. Tukru was her everything. Her life. She could not imagine any woman alive luckier than she in her choice in mate. Her lips parted as if to say something but she found herself not wanting to ruin the moment and so she stayed silent, staring up at him in utter adoration and awe.
The cyan skinned warrior strode toward her and lifted her smaller form easily from the water. She rose willingly, gaining her feet beneath her and rising to just beneath his chin, her face turned up to his. She turned her face into the hand that slid along her cheek, kissing his palm reverently as her hands slid up to wind around his neck, her fingers tangled into his locks. She caressed his que gently in a sign of tender affection as intimate as any kiss and rose up to her toes at his prompting to meet his lips with her own. When they parted, the eyes that met Tukru’s innocent ones were full of nothing but love and desire. Lanak’s ears folded down, a sign of complete trust in her mate, in the safety she felt only in his arms, and she brushed her fingers against his skin.
“Yes,” Lanak whispered in answer to the unspoken question in Tukru’s eyes, “Yes, I will stay with you all of my life. Yes, you are all that I need in the world. Yes, I want you…need you like breath…” She sealed the words with another kiss and pressed herself against him fully, tail winding around to catch his own and curl around it.

Despite his many years at Lanak's side, and despite how well he knew her, when those eyes looked at him in that certain way, he always felt nervous. Like a thousand fan lizards had leaped up into his stomach at once, his cheeks would flush and Tukru accidentally let his own ears fold down and he looked away slightly, his expression somewhat shy. Even when he wasn't consciously showing it, Tukru's trust in Lanak always showed. He wanted to say something, but words escaped him. Here Lanak was, the love of his life, his life-long best friend and partner, and there wasn't a word that Eywa could give him to express this feeling. It was almost overwhelming. When her fingers brushed against his skin Tukru perked up and looked back at Lanak. Her words made him grin slightly, this happened often, Lanak seemingly able to read his mind, but he loved it.
However, the way she spoke, the expression on her face, and the way Lanak seemed to edge closer to him, spoke more than her words themselves. His mouth opened to say something back but was immediately stifled by Lanak. Tukru melted into her soft, warm lips, and his eyes drifted closed as if he had just smoked some of the older men's pipes. He inhaled deeply as Lanak pressed herself against him, and the feeling of her tail intertwining with his, made the man lose himself. She was soft, and warm, her scent enticing and her kiss like an elixir he couldn't get enough of. Tukru's innocent moment wouldn't last long though as the combination got to him. With a sharp inhale his arms moved lower and wrapped firmly around her, his muscles bunched as he lifted Lanak off her feet completely. Tukru's breath would get stronger and steadier as his lips slid over Lanak's, which soon wandered. He briefly parted from the kiss to bow his head low and plant a small nibble to her smooth, soft neck followed by a few strong kisses to it.
He could feel her pulse, almost in time with his, the heat of her neck only drove him further, another playful nip on her collar bone the result. Tukru parted from his mate's welcoming skin to take a deep breath and look at her with a somewhat surprised expression, almost as if he didn't expect that little outburst. He smiled sheepishly and looked to his left, it was rare for such primal want to usher from Tukru like that- the man was honestly afraid to accidentally hurt Lanak when she drove him to that point. Way he saw it, he greatly out-muscled and out-sized Lanak, she always felt so light and fragile in his arms.
"I-I am sorry, love. Did I hurt you?"

Lanak felt herself lift from the ground, her slight form easily picked up in the strong arms of her much larger husband. Tukru was sizable even for a na’vi and she loved that about him. There was so much protection in those thickly corded arms and she knew that there no harm would ever come to her. Lanak leaned forward as she was lifted, her tail sweeping up to wrap around Tukru’s waist and her looped braids spilling over his shoulders as the kiss continued. As Tukru’s lips separated from hers and wandered across her jaw and down her neck, she turned her head up toward the light of the distant planet hanging low in the sky, exposing her throat to her love and shivering lightly with each planted nip and kiss there. Her lips parted as her eyes fluttered shut and a soft breathy gasp filtered up at the playful bite to her collar bone. How she loved his touch, his kiss, lips as soft as any feather she wore, and it was to him alone she would give herself over.
Within the rest of the tribe, Lanak was a leader figure. She always had to remain strong, a pillar of spiritual comfort and strength, unmoving and unwavering, but only around Tukru could she let her guard down. Around him, she didn’t have to always be the strong one and she loved the fact that his size and strength let her feel vulnerable for once. She adored it when Tukru lost himself to her like that, when she could feel utterly taken and absolutely his, and she gave herself into it willingly and gladly. She was a warrior, no doubt, and that strength never faltered in her, but she certainly had no qualms or shame about giving over control for a while in the arms of her lover.
As always, her love was a careful man though and he worried sometimes about accidentally hurting her, a very real possibility given his sheer strength by comparison, but Lanak wasn’t concerned in the least. She knew without doubt that Tukru would never hurt her, would never let anyone else hurt her, and she turned her face back down to look at her love with a note of amusement in her eyes. She brought her head down and nuzzled gently along his temple, planting a few small kisses there. “Never, my txe’lan.” Lanak’s long fingers brushed against Tukru’s jaw, urging him to look back up at her where her deep golden eyes caught the light of the moons. The tiny dots of light sparkled across her skin in swirling patterns like an echo of the stars above as they lit in response to the wash of affection that threatened to overwhelm her. “You would never hurt me,” she said in absolute certainly. Lanak dipped in to nip at Tukru’s bottom lip before moving upward, her lips hovering above his skin as she ghosted soft impassioned breaths across the bridge of his nose and up to his eyes. There she planted a gentle kiss on each eyelid before withdrawing.
The look on Lanak’s face as she leaned back to stare down at her lover shifted from affection to something more heated as the fingertips of her right hand unwound themselves from Tukru’s hair to slide along his throat and down to his collarbone. His skin was hot and smooth under her touch and she lost herself to that feeling for a moment before suddenly dropping back in to kiss him passionately, her desire evident in the press of her lips to his.

As Lanak nuzzled and kissed his temple Tukru let his eyes close with relief. His wife always felt so fragile, so frail in his arms- but sometimes he needed to remember that she was a warrior, even to this day. He smiled at her words and let Lanak move his face up to peer up at her. His eyes stared with wonder into hers as the universe filled them, which only accentuated her beauty. Tukru nodded very slightly as she spoke, a little chuckle came from his chest as she nipped at his lip and his eyes slid closed. Her lips were soft on his face, and Tukru felt at peace with her in his arms.
They opened again in time to see Lanak look at him with a gaze he knew too well. His grin got feisty and he growled as he pushed his lips forward to meet Lanak's. He pulled her lower lip into his mouth and suckled on it gently before he planted a small nip to it playfully. Tukru knew what his wife wanted, and the man was more than willing to give it to her. He ran his tongue across both her lips softly before it dipped into her sweet mouth to ghost across her tongue before he withdrew. Tukru's arms wound around Lanak's back and he pulled her tight against him, inhaling sharply as he did. But before he could move on further, Tukru began to move towards the edge of the pond, his strong legs propelled the pair with ease.
He stepped up onto the edge and was careful to not tip back or fall. Tukru was able to move both himself and Lanak out of the pond, through some tall grass to a small clearing where short purple grass glowed gently- a small safe haven. With a gentle move Tukru slid Lanak into his arms then onto the grass, his right hand moved to run from the side of her ribcage down to he firm stomach. His mischievous grin never left his lips as Tukru looked down at his wife.
On all fours he moved forward, his head low and his eyes peering up at Lanak. The roped of his dreadlocks dragged across her skin along with his lips as Tukru kissed slowly upwards towards her head. After a few moments he hovered just above Lanak and bowed down to kiss just under her chin then again on her lips. He could feel his heart beat strong as it pumped his blood, his skin felt warm even to himself, but Lanak was warmer to him. Tukru shifted his hips so that he was now between Lanak's legs. His left hand moved down to rub her right thigh and hip.
"Oh Lanak...
Tukru purred pleasantly before he nipped at Lanak's neck again. He knew exactly were to touch, where to kiss, and where to nip to drive his beloved just wild- something he adored. His lips moved to in between her collar bones and his tongue dipped out to run from that spot up to her throat before he nuzzled it firmly. Her skin was warm, and sweet from the water with a hint of salt from a little sweat. She smelled of flowers and the fresh dew from the grasses around the plains. Lanak was simply intoxicating to the man, and they both knew it.
