Welcome to Paradise Lost, a roleplaying game set in the world of James Cameron's film Avatar.
Our site is officially open. We are now accepting applications for both Na'vi and humans, so if you're interested in possibly joining, feel free to check out the forum!
April 1st:
For the time being, competitions are going to be put on hold. We haven't had enough participation to really legitimize the results, so for now they won't exist. In addition, I'm sure everyone has noticed a dip in activity, so if you would like some further information regarding this, check out the updates thread.

High up in the mountains you will find the aerie of the Rokure tribe of Na'vi. The cliff face is scattered with small caves for dwellings, almost impossible to reach unless you know how to navigate the treacherous stone, and the aerie itself is accessible mainly from the air, though a few are well educated on more earth-bound paths.
Craggy and hazardous, these mountains are dangerous to all of their inhabitants, including the Na'vi. Anyone without an intimate knowledge of how to traverse the rocky range is bound to find themselves in a world of hurt; many have entered who do not return...
Rarely in one place for more than a few months at a time, the main camp of the Itami tribe follows the herds of animals that they rely on for food. They move as the herds move, living in small huts made of animal hide and wood. The Itami range far and wide, though the herds that they follow almost always keep them within sight of the massive forest that borders their plains.
Wide, rolling plains of purple hued grass, the land is deceptively beautiful. While fertile and nourishing, it also houses more than a few deadly predators for those foolish enough to be taken in by the stunning tranquility of this endless expanse of grassland.
Located on the far border between the Aylukana and Itami territories rests the long-abandoned facility that was once the original residence for humans on Pandora. The old compound has been overrun by vegetation and wildlife, collapsed in some areas, rendering it little more than an empty skeleton of the natives' triumph over the RDA.
The main complex of the human research facility on Pandora. Completely sealed against the deadly atmosphere of the moon, it contains a variety of rooms for the human scientists stationed there, to make their lives a little more comfortable.
Perhaps the most well used area of the Compound, the Lab is the main reason why there are humans on Pandora again. Here, the scientists conduct their research. It is also the location of the uplink system, where those humans with avatars are uploaded into their alternate bodies.
So named because of its purpose. This is the small barracks building in which all avatar bodies are housed when not in use. The building is enclosed by a protective fence, less to keep the avatars in and more for keeping dangerous predators (or curious natives) out.
Situated on a piece of land several hundred yards out from the compound proper, the school is a safehouse where Na'vi seek tutelage from the humans participating in the research expedition. Hawnu translates in the native tongue as "shelter".
A massive tree that towers hundreds of stories above the rest of the forest. There are few like it on Pandora, and this one is the home of the Aylukana tribe of Na'vi. The innards of this tree are comprised of a pathway of spiraling tunnels that lead up to the thick branches where the Noruka make their home.
Dense with life of all kinds, the forest of Pandora is a wild, beautiful place. From towering trees to massive mushrooms, almost any form of life can be found here... and most of it deadly if one is not careful, for more than just the local Na'vi lurk in the underbrush.
Located in a seaside cliff, this grotto is the home of the Alehuai tribe of the Na'vi. Carved from the very stone itself by eons worth of waves washing against the rock, this vast network of connected caves spiderwebs back underground for miles, much of it unexplored.
Endless miles of water, undulating in gentle waves. The sea of Pandora is the primary means of life for all of the Na'vi who live on its beaches, and like the rest of the planet, is a treacherous master at best. Beware of its frothing grasp, and the beasts that lurk beneath its surface.
Arguably the most sacred location on all of Pandora, the Tree of Souls is the Na'vi's strongest connection to Eywa. It is said that one can commune with the souls of their ancestors here. No outsiders are permitted entry here, and anyone attempting to gain access who is not Na'vi are likely to be killed in the process.
Called the Hallelujah Mountains by the human inhabitants of Pandora, these colossal structures actually float above the surface of the planet in gravity defying splendor. They are the home of the Ikran, and the location of the ascension ritual involving them.
