Just out of my own curiosity, I was wondering if all Na'vi have black hair (not the queue part, but their actual hair). Judging from the movie it looks that way, but I was wondering if it would be entirely wrong (or out of the norm) if my character didn't have black hair.

From what I've read on the wiki and seeing the movies, it does seem all Na'vi have black hair. Some looked like it might have been lighter or darker than most, but I could be wrong. I'm sure Aerys or Sil will be along soon to tell you for certain

I think the whole thing is the queue, its just that they tie it in a brad to keep it out of the way? I dunno, from what I've read, it sounds like that. But, Silmaneero and Aerys will be able to help you. But, I'm pretty sure a dark chocolate brown, like really dark, or black, or just a really dark color would suffice. Just as long as it's not really light, I think. If it's a Na'vi, definately dark hair. An Avatar? Probably the same, since they want to resemble the natives, but I'm not sure...

Na'vi are actually a hairless species. What we consider hair is actually what I would assume protection for their Queue, and it is predominantly dark in coloration. Brown and black seem the most common, though I imagine that a very dark blue wouldn't be out of the question, either. There wouldn't be anything too bright or light, as their coloration is primarily designed to help them blend in with their habitat, so having, say, bright red hair, would put them at a disadvantage and likely result in an early demise.
