G'day, and hello. I was kinda curious, I know there's some security detail among the Human compound on Pandora... but how heavy duty is it? Numbers? Weaponry? And who heads that section?

Originally, Sil and I intended that the people on Pandora were present for strictly scientific reasons only. Tomorrow I'll be doing a write up for exactly why they're back there (It entails botany and potentially harvesting plants to help rebuild the mess Earth has become at this point in the future). Of course, after what happened in the war between the Na'vi and RDA, they would want some security to be present, but not a huge presence, since that would send bad signals to the natives.
So, to answer your question, I would say that the group would be very small. To start, we'll say that there's about ten to twelve scientists in the group, and three to four security personnel. As to a specific leader? They would report to Malandra for now, since the group isn't very large.

Alrighty, well answered my friend. Just needed an idea for my character, who will be part of the security group.

Another question about security: Would they have access to Avatars?
The reason I ask is the disadvantage they would have if they need to travel with any of the scientists that are working in Avatars. The reason I ask is two-fold. First is safety of both the security personnel and the scientists they are guarding. With just the mask system, they run risk of being incapacitated by a damaged or faulty sytem. Also, the human's diminuitive stature limits their ability to keep up with the scientists and provide security.

To be entirely honest, the amount of avatars that will be allowed depends on the growth and fluctuation of members we have. And on top of that, how many human/researcher/guardsmen applications we get. So any number I tell you now is subject to change, depending upon our development as a community.
For now, I will settle on four guardsmen total. And you make a good point, Vex. So the four guardsmen will have avatars in order to maximize their services. Bear in mind that, in the character's history, Sil and I wish to see a legitimate reason as to how they received the funding to be able to afford their own avatar (Do not simply gloss over it with the excuse that "Hey, they're in the army, so it's funded that way").
