THE XAVIER INSTITUTE is doing well. The X-Men haven't had to do a
lot in the ways of rescuing people from burning buildings and fighting
off the Brotherhood. That is all about to change. When a spaceship
full of alien refugees is chased by another spaceship intent on
destroying the other ship, the X-Men become involved, as well as the
United States government.
THE CHLORITES are a race that can never co-exist with another race.
It is not because they do not wish to or would not be welcomed, but
the way their body functions means that everything around them will
eventually die. Their bodies emit chlorine gas which after time will
suffocate the planet they are on and kill all life on it, except for Chlorites.
Now they are on Earth, and something has got to be done about it.
THE BROTHERHOOD's recent activity causes more problems for the
X-Men. Magneto and his team have set up the Brotherhood Academy,
a school very similar to the Xavier Institute. Whilst the two groups are
racing against each other to get neutral mutants to join their side, they
also have to attempt to co-operate with each other in order to save
Earth as they know it.
THE IMPERIAL GUARD and THE DIASCAR are also involved. The Diascar
lost their home planet to the Chlorites, and the Majestrix Lilandra of the
Shi'ar Empire has sent some of her guardsmen to help them remove the
Chlorites from Earth. The only problem is that their views and methods
differ greatly to the Brotherhood, X-Men, and the US Government.
