Name: Tey’lu (tah-eh-loo)
Age: Thirty two
Secret Word: Sent a PM regarding this
Gender: Female
Sexuality:Heterosexual
Race: Na'vi
Tribe: Alehuai
Mount: Ikran
A smaller than average sized Ikran, who makes up for his lack of girth, by his beautiful coloration, unflinching determination and passionate protection of his rider.
Pxan txe’lan(worthy heart), exudes the colors of the wild seas churning in the evening in the light of a golden moon. His muscular body is covered head to tail in a deep oceanic blue color, the tips of his wings and tail, as well as his beak, seemed to have been dipped in the golden glow of a full moon that reflects on still water—making him easy to spot in the daylight hours and nearly hidden in the waning light of the evening. Black markings reminiscent of stripes starts at the crest of his head and continue down along his spine and tail. A few scars can be clearly seen at the edge of his second set of wings, which is the result of an attack from a Viperwolf before he met and bonded with his rider Tay’lu.
Although txe’lan(tey-lan)can be clearly spotted by his coloration, his personality also tends to set him apart. Not unusually, the initial meeting of Tey’lu and Txe’lan resulted in a battle of sorts before the two bonded—but it wasn’t of strength, or speed, but endurance. Ultimately it was patience and perseverance that allowed the Na’vi woman to be bonded with her Ikran mount. While he is rarely vocal around other Na’vi txe’lan is extremely noisy when alone with his rider—he often purrs and makes a wide range of guttural sounds when the two are with one another. A fierce protector with a stubbornness that matches his rider—it is plain to see that Tey’lu and Txe’lan are a perfect match and a lethal combination of skilled rider and graceful steed.
Physical Description:
Standing at an above average height of nine feet and seven inches, Tey’lu is by no means the tallest of her kind, but she tends to stand above more than a few females in her tribe. Her body sports the normal cyan hue that is typical for her kind and her stripes, save for their darker shade of blue, are nothing that would make her stand out among her people. However despite this fact—she still manages to stand apart in her own way. Tey’lu’s frame is elongated, nimble, and although she is well muscled, often upon first inspection she seems willowy for her size. However a second glance will always prove the first faulty, the Na’vi warrior is built for speed and stamina, especially in the water. A closer inspection of her physique will show that she has a long, lean, defined musculature. Her shoulders seem to be slightly wider with regard to the overall narrowness of her body, which allows her more powerful strokes when swimming. Her breast is meager and often covered by her second-skin like animal hide top, which must be constantly repaired due to her penchant for wearing it out in the sea.
Her queue is well hidden amidst the long, loose tangles of hair-like filaments that cover her head, and trail down the better part of her elongated torso. These filaments, can most often be caught drip-drying, out of her habit of spending more time in water than on dry land. While she has been known to wear it in several smooth braids fastened together, Tey’lu is most well known for her feral looking locks, and makes no effort to hide the fact she prefers them this way. The female Na’vi boasts topaz colored eyes, that seem to be always alert, and constantly taking in her surroundings. Most of the clan blame her ever present aloofness, for her wandering gaze. Her ears seem slightly more elongated than what is normal for the Na’vi in her tribe-but this can trait seems to ring true for most of her features including her tail. Tey’lu possesses a strange beauty—in the fact that she hides herself under a cloak of untamed fierceness. Her overall appearance would not be one that purposefully draws stares. The iridescent flecks that cover the swathe of skin around her eyes, and bridge of her feline-like nose, and swirl in strange mesmerizing patterns over her entire form seem to be muted, as the young warrior rarely shows her emotion openly.
Tey’lu’s sense of fashion is spartan—life living near the water forces her to wear little clothing due to its nasty habit of inhibiting speed while fighting against roiling water. Typical clothing that she can be seen wearing is thin, tight, strapless leather-like top, that barely covers what it is meant to. Several thick bands of hide wrap around low around her waist, rear, and groin, with a small tail sized gap in the bands, near the top of her backside. This outfit seems to be what she favors while in the sea. While on land Tey’lu can often be sent sporting a love-worn loin cloth, with small intricate patterns imprinted on the fabric. Strips of leather wrapping around her ankles and wrists, serve as a trade-mark of her wardrobe, as well as protection from the snapping of her bow string. She wears little to no jewelry be it bone or otherwise, due to the fact that she believes it makes too much noise when she moves.
Personality:
Much like her appearance Tey’lu is wild at heart. Coming from a long line of warriors the woman seems destined to have the words, “fierce,” “killer,” and “survivor” etched into her blood. She’s naturally aloof, and to find her unable to describe where ever she is, on command, without swift and accurate detail would be uncharacteristic of her. She can be accused of acting without thinking and relying heavily on instinct rather than logic. After loosing her father in the war for Pandora, she became very reclusive and still to this day prefers to be alone rather than in large groups. She’s brash, standoffish, and more than a few of her clan-mates describe her as someone who has a thicker head than the flying birds of the Sky People.
Tey’lu is intentionally, the first Na’vi to fly into a tight situation, because she’d rather protect those she cares for without having to worry about others. Despite her rather bristly nature and tendency to sneak off in favor of alone time, the woman has a heart. After loosing a piece of her family and having to see her mother and siblings suffer, she’s sworn two things to herself. The first, to protect her family even to death, and the second never forgive the Sky People for what they’ve done. Tey’lu—is openly vengeful against humanity as a whole—even if she doesn’t freely admit to the fact, she’d love nothing more than to permanently drive all humans away from Pandora and avenge her father’s death.
Hard-headed, stubborn and an unsung protector, Tey’lu is a difficult woman to befriend and damn near impossible to love, without the help of seeing the soft side she reserves for her family. Quick on her feet, brave, and more than a little sarcastic, Tey’lu’s personality makes her a strong warrior, even if it is on her own terms.
Talents:
Enhanced Senses// Self trait/ clan trait
Due to the fact that the Alehuai dwell and live for the most part deep inside the caverns of ocean caves-Tey’lu as well as the rest of her clan have adapted to live in the subterranean world. Sight, smell, and sound are all crucial in navigating the dimly lit corridors of cave tunnels and the Na’vi dwelling in this world had honed these three senses to allow them swift and accurate navigation within their own home terrain.
Archery// Self trait
While warriors are encourage to be skilled with all weapons-Tey’lu prefers and generally sticks to the bow and arrow as her main form of weaponry, it is hardly the most practical of weapons to be sporting, but Tey’lu and many of her family members are known for their skill and accuracy with the bow—so much so that while her father was still alive many young warriors would be taught by him. Tey’lu thinks of the bow and arrow as one of her last real connections to her father and because of this she’s become a skill archer both on and off the Ikran.
Agility// Self trait and Ikran trait
Tey’lu is notably swift, she is able to climb the cliffs of her home, and sprint through the caves of her clan with ease. She may not be the most silent when she is running but she is very sure footed—many of her clan mates can be easily out matched by her speed and she is the very skilled at turning sharply, changing direction and stopping even while running at her full speed.
Txe’lan’s smaller size allows him increased maneuverability, making him faster when it comes to flying next to rocky outcroppings of cliffs and dodging the large swells of roaring waves of the sea. He tends to be better at making quick directional changes, and more accelerated dives than the typical Ikran.
Swimming// Self trait
Living so close to the open sea as well as hunting in and near it the Alehuai have adapted to become skilled swimmers, which is necessary when the clan has to contend with its monsters from time to time. Many have earned their strength and stamina swimming against strong ocean currents and Tey’lu is no different. Although it a dangerous and sometimes deadly pass time, Tey’lu has spent a considerable amount of time in the water and has developed a strong aptitude for time spent in and under the water.
History:
Born a few months after the Sky People were forced out of Pandora. Tey’lu was forced to grow up in a world barely healing from the wounds the Sky People had left. Her clan is without mothers, fathers, and grandparents due to the war, and the resentment for the pain, destruction and loss suffered by her people has never been forgotten.
When Makto and Taun’omun first met it seemed the two were destined to be together—he was from a strong and proud line of warriors and she was the daughter of high ranking clan nobility—naturally a union between the two families was agreeable, but love for the Na’vi is not nearly as simple as seeing someone, and finding them to be attractive. The two young Na’vi wanted to be sure of their love for one another, that was the night they decided to receive guidance from Eywa and connect their queues with one another.
It is said that when two Na’vi who connect queue may be blessed by Eywa and see if they have a future together. A deep sleep it seemed to quickly over take them, but soon enough the two young lovers had begun to dream. While in their slumber Makto saw a beautiful baby, and his weary wife tired from labor—he saw her smile and felt as if he would never be complete without it. Taun’omun saw her mother and father joyfully celebrating her union and Makto looking proud and full of love, and knew in her heart this love was meant to be.
Upon waking both knew it was the will of Eywa that the mating happen—and the two continued to spend a great deal of time with one another. It wasn’t until two years later they decided to have a child and to Taun’omun’s delight it was a baby girl who was quickly named Tey’lu after her great female Na’vi long passed from the clan. Makto while overjoyed at the birth of a baby was expecting a male child with which he could teach to become a warrior and carry the family’s name and place in the clan. Instead Taun’omun only gave birth to females.
When the Great War between the Na’vi people and the Sky People came to pass Makto was honored to answer the call and defend his clan and family. Atop the back of his mighty Ikran he flew off to battle and never returned—Tey’lu was only a few months old at the time. Tey’lu quickly grew, being fathered and taught by other members of her tribe. However it never felt the same, and she always felt different from those with their families still intact—although after the war, unbroken families were few and far between.
As she grew, Tey’lu took great interest in what her father was like when he was alive, and the warriors of the clan—so much so that she trained herself to one day become one. When she was seventeen years of age she approached her fellow clan warriors and pleaded with them to become like them, both as a way of honoring her father’s memory and being able to protect her clan and her family. It was determined that she would have an opportunity if she could pass the clan’s rite of passage. That rite of passage was as simple as it was potentially fatal. Tey’lu would have to find an Ikran, survive meeting it and bond with it—as the Ikran is looked upon as the noble steed of a warrior. Against her mothers warnings and admonitions about the dangerous and deadliness of the task—Tey’lu agreed and went in search of her Ikran.
It was many days of journeying later and high above the cliffs of the Thundering Mountains she found Txe’lan, or rather he found her. The battle between the two was long, fierce and for many days both Na’vi and Ikran waited for the other to fall. When the battle was finally over, the warrior returned to her people on the back of her Ikran.
Now as a full fledged warrior, Tey’lu takes great pride in her duties. The woman can often be seen happily volunteering for scouting parties, seeing them as a chance to leave the dark and crowded corridors of her home. Although she will never be one to say she’s ever finished learning, the Na’vi female has quickly risen among the ranks of the warriors, proving she was and is Makto’s daughter time and time again.

She was ready—hell she’d been born ready for this moment. Sky People…humans as they insisted on calling themselves had once again returned to their lands. Tey’lu was the first of her people to agree to a swift and merciless driving of the foreigners out—but her desire and the desires of the rest of her clan were quickly squelched. They’d been granted clemency, and allowed to returned to Pandora, they’d been allowed to step foot again on the soil that had barely repaired itself from the last time they’d touched it. Her blood was boiling, by the end of the announcement if it were possible she would have caught fire right on the spot. This was wrong—it felt wrong, allowing the blood of her people, her family that was spilled to be denied vengeance—it was unfathomable. When the warriors reconvened their leader told them to kill any Sky Person or Dreamwalker that dared set foot on Alehuai lands. All of her fellow warriors seemed eager to be out on guard—but their faces al seemed to radiate the same pain, anger and frustration she felt. The humans should have never be allowed to return—and instead of trying for peace, they should have been driving them away—for a few Sky People seemed to quickly turn into many.
As soon as they were given there assigned posts Tey’lu made hast for Txe’lan—if anyone would be able to understand it’d be her companion of the skies. As if sensing her distress once they were connected he gave a quick purr of concern. She exhaled sharply telling her friend not to worry, within moments they were in the air. The ocean currents made taking off and soaring, the expanse of coast line almost seem effortless to her Ikran. Yet she knew the stiff breezes must have been challenging for him, by how he would flap his wings in powerful down strokes against the current. The wind whipped her braid behind her and she felt as if she could leave her troubles up here. If only the heat of the day, and how it is so easily blown off her skin were like the turmoil she was wrestling with—the acid in her stomach, the need to repay blood for blood. Her mother was able to see the logic in forming relationships with the humans…and she wasn’t alone—relations with the destroyers of their world. She laughed bitterly to herself but it was quickly stolen away by the rushing air.
Perched on one of the highest outcroppings near the edge of their lands Tey’lu traced the forest with her eyes, her gaze wandered up the mountains and down again. Out beyond the caves and the beaches there were other clans—other clans that must have felt as apprehensive about this treaty as she—and yet there were clans that had wished for the treaty to be signed in the first place. She’d never understand, the human’s native tongue, she refused to learn it, relations with foreigners—the idea made her ill. Standing near the edge of the cliff with her steed close by her, she could feel the roar of the waves through the rock. She could hear the sound of water breaking on the cliff, felt the faint spray of liquid and scent of life giving water. This was her home—her home her father and many like him fought and died for and she’d rather toss herself off this rock than see it poisoned and ransacked again. Turning toward her mount she gave her the barest of smiles—she’d promised herself that her father would be avenged, that her family would be safe and protected…she’d promised, and it was like Tey’lu to go back on her word.
