Name: Rei’tanhi
Age: 21
Secret Word: Sent
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Homosexual (Undisclosed)
Race: Na'vi
Tribe: Aylukana
Mount: Ikran- “Tirea”
She is a beautiful and elegant specimen, with gentle teal and cyan coloring and vibrant green eyes. Her wings are a light teal, which allows her to blend in with the sky very well. However, this also makes her stand out onto the jungle bellow at times, making the chances of a toruk attack higher. Tirea is smaller than most Ikran, making her slightly more agile and faster in the air- a trait that fits Rei well.
Physical Description:
Rei is a smaller Na’vi, standing at a mere 9’5”. Her body however is a bit more curvaceous than most females, her curves well defined and elegant with slightly larger than average breasts and rear end. She has a heart-shaped face with a small, dainty looking chin. Her oval shaped eyes and smaller lips give her a very youthful appearance. Rei’s hair is a silky black in color with a visible sheen. She doesn’t braid it or mess with it really, the long flowing mane just does as it pleases. Rei’s hair goes down to her shoulder blades and is surprisingly sleek. The muscles under her smooth cyan skin are lithe and gently defined. Her eyes are light gold in color and usually have a kind, if shy expression to them.
Besides the normal markings of the Na’vi, Rei doesn’t have any true defining marks, her skin relatively flawless. However, she does have a couple piercings. Small, rounded, white bone studs sit in the lobes of her ears, she had originally planned to gauge them like some of her Tribe has, but decided against it. Her third and final piercing is just below her lower lip, and it looks exactly like the studs in her ears. That same bottom lip she gently bites whenever nervous, a habit that clearly gives her away to those that know Rei well. She is soft spoken, her voice silky and soothing. Thanks to this voice, Rei is an amazing singer, but to get her to even do it in front of one person is difficult to attain.
Clothing wise she keeps it to a extreme minimum, the jungles that she call home tend to change it even if she puts on extra. A basic loincloth fits snugly around her waist, it is died black with a single small cloth flap that extends down the front. On her torso she wears a tube of black cloth similar to her loincloth that covers part of her breasts and keeps them from getting in her way- an occasional point of frustration from the young woman. On her arms she wears silken fishnets that go from the top of her hand to just before her elbows. A small ring is fitted on her middle fingers where the fishnets connect and a black armband keeps them on her arm near the elbow.
One of the most common sites with Rei is rather surprising. A fan lizard has decided that Rei is a good person to be around, the little reptile seen perched on her shoulder often. During the day they like to go hide among Rei’s village, but at night, he’ll make himself known and hang out with her. Rei has accepted the little guy, fondly calling him Hi’it.
Personality:
Rei is a very shy person. Never one to start anything, she’s always been more of a follower than a leader. She prefers to wander the jungle alone, or with only one or two others, large groups tend to make her nervous. For this reason alone she is seen as a bit of a loaner in her tribe, an observer more than an actor. Some might take her shyness as standoffish, but Rei is a very kind soul, her motivation for becoming a better bow hunter solely lies within her want to cause as little pain as possible.
She dislikes hunting, as she doesn't like the texture or taste of meat, but for her tribe she will hunt. Her favorite foods are sweet or sour fruits, which she’ll sometimes take an afternoon for herself and sit cradled in a tall tree with a couple and just relax and nibble. Hi’it sometimes joins her if it’s late enough for a little snack as well. Rei has never gotten angry before, she just falls silent when something upsets her, a blank expression accompanying it.
What she believes is the source of her insecurities lay within her sexual preference. It has been a few years now since she discovered these feelings, but has never told anyone about it, not even her late mother. When around those she finds attractive, she will get very quiet and fidget either with her own fingers or whatever is nearby- Hi’it’s tail even sometimes. When alone in the night, she fantasizes about going through with one of the urges she feels, silently praying to Eywa to grant her the courage to tell someone. Rei won’t admit it, but larger males tend to frighten her, especially when angry. She tends to avoid these types of people like a poisonous animal.
Rei’s most favorite thing in the whole world is the rain, and water just in general. She enjoys swimming alone in the various pools and streams that wind through the jungle. When it does rain she will just sit or stand in it, purring as she does. Rei loves drinking it as well, the girl never seeming to get enough of it.
Talents:
Bilingual: Rei has a rare gift. She was able to learn English, and was shown to have a natural way with words and language. She can speak it well enough, though like many Na’vi who learn it, an exotic accent is added to each word. When needed, she will act as a translator between her people and the Sky People.
Bowman~ Like many of her tribe, she is an excellent shot with her bow. Due to her dislike of harming anything, she was learned where to shoot on most life forms on Pandora that kills the quickest while dealing the least amount of pain.
Tracking~ As a hunter of her people, she has been trained very well in tracking and following. She can blend in well in almost any type of flora in the jungle, able to stay hidden even when preparing to strike with her bow. There isn’t any track she can’t recognize, barely any sound she can’t identify, and almost no smell that can escape her keen senses. Rei is an expert scout, which can be a very valuable asset.
History:
Rei was born to Rina just over twenty one years ago. Her father was a warrior named Vul, who she has never met. Vul was sent to a neighboring tribe a couple weeks before she was born, and was sadly killed by one of the many beasts hidden among the jungle. Vul’s death didn’t go over well with Rina, the poor woman began to fade from the moment she heard. Rei’s upraising was effected by this, the mere presence of her almost constantly depressed mother taught Rei to be silent unless spoken to, something she still follows to this day.
Even when she was little, Rina was sure to teach her daughter all she could. Including the basics of the English language. Though it had been years since the Sky People left Pandora, Rei's grandmother made a point to learn the language, as well as teach it to Rina. She explained to young Rina that it was likely that they would return one day, and that the tribe would need those that understood and spoke the strange tongue. Rina respected this, and thus made sit was passed down to her own daughter. Little did she know that her little girl would fulfill that very prediction.
As a young child Rei often played alone, the other children intimidated her due to her small size. She would paint or sing to herself, never venturing far from her mother. Some of the tribe thought that there was something wrong with Rei, as the Aylukana, like most tribes, thrived on working together, but the little girl seemed to fair fine on her own. The Olo’eyktan of their tribe at the time decided to try training Rei as a huntress, seeing the signs of a future scout for their people. Rina and Rei both had their doubts about his decision, but didn’t deny his request.
Rei didn’t like killing anything, or even harming it. But as she was taught, the life given by Eywa was borrowed, and one day, all must return that gift. So she focused her training on learning where the most efficient places to aim were so that she could kill with the least amount of time and pain possible. Life was simple and quiet for Rei until around her mid teens, where she began to notice something. When watching the people in her tribe, her gaze would linger more on the women of the tribe than the men, the fluttering of butterflies sometimes flitted in her stomach- a sensation she wasn’t familiar with at all. It wasn’t until after a male approached her that she realized what this all meant. He asked her to be his mate, his partner in life- but Rei immediately knew it was wrong, and declined- careful to make sure he knew that it wasn’t he who put her off, just kept it at that she ‘wasn’t ready’.
The day she met Tirea was one that would stay with her to this day. Along with the entire group of hunters that had been trained together, they scaled the mountains to get to the ikran nests. Rei was the last to go in her group, terrified and unsure she approached them one by one, all ikran fled until she reached one that hung upside down from a cave. It immediately lunged at her with a hiss and tried its hardest to get her within its jaws, but Rei was quicker on her feet than it, and gracefully swung onto its neck as she made tsahaylu. She just sat there with the ikran for a moment to gently stroke her and whisper to her. It was during their first, awkward flight that she gave Tirea her name. She was officially a huntress of her people.
Unfortunately though, just as she achieved this great event, her mother’s health finally failed. No more than a week after becoming a full fledged huntress, Rina passed on. Rei was now officially alone, her last bit of family had left her. She began to remove herself even more often from her tribe, always returning to the village itself though by night to avoid predators. One day however, she discovered she did not come back alone. A tiny fan lizard had clung to hair on the trip back to the village. When the little critter wouldn’t leave, she decided it was fine for him to stay, naming him Hi’it that very night. He has yet to leave her for more than a few hours at a time.
Now she still works as a huntress and a tracker for her tribe, confused about herself still and unsure of the future, she will occasionally try to make a friend among her people, but sometimes the anxiety is too much for her. Luckily for her in a sense, the six months that passed since the Sky People returned have allowed her to open up in a sense. Rei was chosen to be one of the people in her tribe that would act as a translator as needed. This has forced her to interact with others- Na'vi or human- and she hopes that her anxiety problems may pass thanks to this. She is most often found near a pool of water worn into a large tree branch in the tree the village resides in, a makeshift hammock set up for her to sleep in somewhat away from the rest of the tribe.

Soft skin glowed faintly in the waning hours of the night. Insects chirped in a steady rhythm, one that many Na’vi used to lull themselves to sleep. With a tiny squeak the soft skinned form of Rei snapped her eyes open from a deep slumber. She groaned pitifully and slid to sit upright in her hammock. A sudden flutter was followed by a brilliant display of spinning orange and red as Hi’it protested her movement. He didn’t stay airborne long though, the little fellow landed on her left thigh gently. Rei smiled down at her companion and used a single finger to gently stroke down his side, the familiar motion comforted her. Her golden eyes gazed at the area around her- the little nook of the village’s tree she had sort of claimed as her own was a welcome site.
In the middle of a massive tree branch lay a pool of rain water, the bioluminescence of the tree lit the pool in a cool green color, and her body ached to sit in it. With a graceful, dainty step Rei dismounted from her hammock onto the tree branch below. In two elegant sweeping motions she looked to her left and right while her ears twitched around for any sound besides the snoring of her people. Confident she was alone, she slid her fingers under her usual fishnets and slid them off onto the hammock. Her tube top followed and was set on the hammock as well. She felt her cheeks flush slightly as her hands pushed the loincloth off, the small piece of clothing landed on the branch, but not for long, her toes grasped it and brought the loincloth to her hand. Her gaze turned back to the pool and she smiled before a simple flick sent the loincloth to land on top of the rest of her clothing.
Rei stepped towards the crystal clear waters and dipped her toe into it. The water was warm, but not hot, and very inviting. Without a sound Rei slipped into the water until she was up to her waist. Her knees bent to lower the girl into the water until it came up to just under her collar bone. A soft sigh of pleasure escaped her lips and those golden orbs slid closed. How delightful… thought Rei, a small smile graced her lips as she nestled into the pool and breathed slowly, the humid jungle air just as inviting as the pool was after a bad dream.
Long fingered hands traced daintily across her skin, she was still achy from a particularly long scouting trip she had just returned from, and the hot water along with some gentle rubs were doing wonders on her muscles. She was pleased at what she considered a beautiful find, a large tree had just finished ripening its fruits, and in just another couple days they would venture out to harvest them. She giggled slightly as her mouth watered at the thought of the lush, juicy fruit- she could go for some at that very moment.
Instead though, Rei decided she should try to sleep a bit more. She couldn’t help but pout a little as she slid out of the pool of water, tiny droplets clung to her body which made her glisten in the pale light. Her fingers worked to wring what little water was in her hair before she stepped lightly over to her hammock. One by one her clothes went back to their proper place, and Rei crawled back into her hammock. For one last time that night red and orange danced in the air as Hi’it spun upwards before he came down for a gentle landing just above Rei’s navel. She grinned and peered down at the little fan lizard before her finger stroked the top of his head until her eyes finally drifted closed for some much needed sleep.
