Human Physical Description: Wolfe stands at nearly five feet eleven inches, weighing roughly one hundred and eighty five pounds. He is by no means an incredibly buff individual, but the boy does take care to keep himself toned and healthy; thus, his body tends to be comprised of lean muscle, honed very pointedly not by the time spent in the gym, but by his numerous expeditions that take him out of the country.
A generally short-cropped hair cut is his typical choice of style, though it seems to have a penchant for being unruly. His skin never seems to lose its soft glow, again, a result of his days spent beneath the sun both back on Earth and on Pandora, but sports a fair number of cuts and bruises. Both hair and eye are a rich hazel brown, the latter of which contains sparse flecks of gold.
Though Wolfe has adopted the traditional garb like the rest of the scientists on this venture, he does occasionally sport one of his blazers while teaching at the school, but takes great pains not to let it fall into the hands of insatiably curious Na'vi. Otherwise he is not without his somewhat antiquated camera, notebook and pack.
Avatar Physical Description: Standing roughly around three meters, Wolfe’s avatar possesses striking similarities to himself that yet astound him. As with all of the other genetically constructed creatures, the avatar’s flesh is a rich candescent cyan, covered from head to toe with sweeping stripes of darker cobalt. Bioluminescent markings are rarely visible, given the amount of clothing Wolfe prefers to wear, though evidence of their existence can be found trailing up and following the slope of his jaw and brow.
Though his eye color is the distinct golden of the lowland Na’vi, hints of brown seemed to have seeped into the irises during the creation process, as have his more identifiable characteristics. His hair is the traditional deep blue, plaited around the delicate queue that often rests over his shoulder, and though he strives to keep it neat, it rarely remains so. Aforementioned, the clothing he elects to wear follows the typical protocol of the other scientists; lightweight but protective, khakis and t-shirts created to fit his tall, lithe frame, the occasional jacket, and durable boots.
Personality: Bryant is an enigmatic man and a self-proclaimed wildcard. He prefers being the type of person that can't be puzzled out to being openly readable, but that is not to imply that he's an introvert--he simply considers himself a private man. He will be social when necessary, and knows how to sweet talk to get what he wants, women included.
Though he is something of a cynic, Wolfe does not let such personal sentiments infect his social agenda. He is a kind man, willing and helpful when necessary, entirely devoted to his duty on Pandora. Money speaks, however, especially in a world where income is becoming increasingly difficult to come by, and it is to that end that his values can shift depending upon the situation at hand.
Given his post as head of the school on the moon, Wolfe is very much a leader. Controlling crowds is anything but a trial for him, though adapting to dealing with the natives has proven...interesting, since his assignment. Part of his purpose for being on Pandora is to study the Na'vi's devotion to their deity Eywa, so it is with great eagerness that he takes to his lessons, striving to glean as much as possible from his pupils.
To Wolfe, work and pleasure are two entirely different realms, and he strives to never let them cross. Relationships are things he tends to avoid; career driven is how he elects to classify himself, and his devotion to his job supersedes just about everything else in this god forsaken world. Or, perhaps, he simply has yet to find the right person...
Talents:
Fluent in Na'vi: As the head of the tutoring center, it has been required of Bryant to learn and master the native tongue of Pandora. He spent a majority of his prep time bent over computers memorizing the complexity of the language of the Na'vi, and was rewarded with a fairly comprehensible knowledge of their tongue and some insight into the culture itself.
Crowd Control: Though he was never a teacher of any sort back on Earth, Wolfe has adapted to the profession quite well. He enjoys teaching the Na'vi, certainly but is adept at keeping them under control even in the most tense of situations (Example being the gathering of the natives from different tribes). He is unashamed to say that he's made several friends of the Na'vi while teaching, and just as unashamed to admit how much he values these friendships.
History: Bryant Wolfe grew up in a life where settling down was not an option. His parents claimed that his father's, Johnathan Wolfe, job lent to this mobile lifestyle, but it didn't take long for Bryant to figure out the truth for himself. Con artists and thieves, John and Emilie scoured the states from the west coast to the east coast for those gullible enough to fall victim to their scams. Emilie insisted on using Bryant as a tool sometimes, since kids seemed to be a soft spot for the older people they robbed.
Bryant put up with it for a time, but once he was out of high school (He stayed with his grandparents for four years in order to get a proper education. Both of them somehow managed to remain unaware of their childrens' illegal behavior, and, frankly, Wolfe didn't have it in his heart to give them another reason to be disappointed) he left. Scholarship money and what little he had been given by his grandparents, as well as some quick cash he made from after school jobs as a teen, were all he had as he began attending community college in southern Iowa.
His fondness for history and religion was born out of his love for escapism. The richer times in the existence of their ruined planet rested in the thousands of years prior to his life, where he could read stories of Kings and Queens and Pharaohs. Religion was an ancient concept in a time where science reigned, and it was for this very reason that Wolfe decided to pursue both.
Funding for trips was difficult to come by, but Wolfe managed to scrounge together enough to go overseas and visit what little preservation of history was left in the world. The Vatican was a personal favorite of his, a place where he spent much time conducting research, and a place where he was first approached about the Pandora expedition.
Details were sparse, but the pay and thought of being able to take a step back in time and away from this damned planet...it was all enticing enough to assuage any doubts Bryant might have had. The team they proposed was to be diverse, as to garner as much information as possible during the stay on the distant moon. His funding came from the small team of historians in the Vatican and his organization from his no-name university, both of which he vowed to pay back upon his return to Earth.
