It was a peaceful morning. At least, so far. Her eyes had opened with the rise of the sun; peaking through the trees and flooding gently through the weave of her hammock. The distant native birds of the forest called out melodically - their song always so alluring to Euri'nach with the promise of a new day.
The female had gotten up early like many other Na'vi, preparing for their usual day. For her, it involved a bit of weaving... but thankfully, she more or less had today to herself. She planned to make the most of it too. Perhaps a bit of aimless wandering, a run or a swim, and who knows what else. Normally, Euri'nach was a hard worker and loved weaving. She STILL loved it. Her position allowed her to contribute to her clan and feel needed. However, everyone enjoyed having a day to themselves: a day to simply relax. No real commitments.
Swinging expertly down from her personal hammock, Euri'nach paid a quick visit to her father, and had a short conversation... before she walked off to find herself some fruit for the morning.

The wood was so beautiful; so tranquil, and very much her home. The sound of distant, exotic animals made the Na'vi female feel even more at peace and content. Sometimes she often wondered what her life would be like if she'd chosen to take after her father; become a warrior, or perhaps even a hunter. Maybe she might have been able to help her mother. Maybe even save her. Spotting some lingering fruit in a neighboring tree top - Euri'nach examined it for a moment, before fluidly jumping up, and scaling the tree from branch to branch until she reached the fruit. Settling there in a crouched position, she began picking some of it. Returning to her thoughts... it occurred to her that if her father couldn't even have saved her mother's life, what chance did she have? Naturally, it was nobody's fault. Things happened, and with that particular battle, they were all just lucky to be alive. A lot of their people were lost needlessly... but fate had it's own course to run.
Flicking her eyes up, her ears perked as she thought she could hear movement further ahead. Standing, the female began to walk - traveling on the thick, large branches above.
A piece of fruit was still in her hand as she moved with ease... before she stopped, hearing yet another sound in the distance. It wasn't any kind of animal call, but rather the sound of branches breaking. A traveler. Quirking a brow, Euri'nach went to investigate out of pure curiosity. After all, there was no need for concern; the sound was not frantic or overbearing. Tossing her fruit aside for now, the female Na'vi used her hands and feet to travel faster and with better agility as she weaved through the tree tops and branches. Catching the movement again with her sharp eyesight, Euri'nach stopped and quietly observed. Below, she saw Na'vi. But they were not her people... they wore clothing.
Avatars.
Tilting her head, the female observed the small group as they moved; examining the forest. Some carried notepads and odd looking instruments, and two had weapons. Swinging down a few levels silently, the lithe female continued to move - venturing around the group as she watched curiously. Her tail twitched with intrigue as she ventured even closer. But one snap of a branch above - caused one of the Avatar's to turn in her direction, pointing the rifle at her nervously.
Granted, the female was quick to move out of sight.... but startled by seeing a form in the treetop above them, the human-avatar shot; the bullet ricocheting off a neighboring branch. But it was no where near Euri'nach. She was already hiding within the foliage of another tree, still watching - though her heart was beating a little faster now.
Her large ears could hear the sounds of raised voices; not angry, but agitated, perhaps because of the single, nervous shot fired. Normally, a shot like that might have startled other Na'vi back to their own territory. And the thought did cross Euri'nach's mind. However, there were no further shots, and the action had seemed to come from a place of unknown fear - rather than actual fear. Perhaps she'd startled the group. While it would have been the time to quietly venture off... Euri'nach's strong curiosity kept her there. Perhaps she could get another look at the group without startling them.
