Name: Tukru’atan (TOO-Kroo’ahtahn)
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Race: Na'vi
Tribe: Itami
Mount: Pa’li
Physical Description:
Tukru is a prime example of the Na’vi. He stands at a massive 10’3” and has a broader chest than most of his people. His arms are built well and have their share of small scars from his years. His muscles are well defined, but still have the grace the Na’vi are known for. His skin is a shade darker than most, his markings clearly shown this way. His eyes have a tinge of copper to them, but this can only really be seen if looking into them closely. His ears constantly are on the move, always searching for any sound that shouldn’t be there, or if a sound leaves that should be there. Tukru has a strong chin and square jaw, giving him a very willful look. His hair is a large mane of dreadlocks, the thick hair wound into robes that have been beaded at the ends with various shades of tan and purple. His Queue blends very well within this mane of hair, though it does still stick out visibly from the dreadlocks.
He has a series of simple tattoos on his skin, his shoulders have tiny intricate, interconnected swirls on them that go down his back midway that ends in a point, as well as going down his arms to his elbows where they also end in a point. These tattoos have taken ten years to add, each year since he was sixteen Tukru has had more added on. These tattoos are not his most defining mark though. Across his chest there are three very large scars that go from his left shoulder down to just above the right side of his waist. These scars are a stark white on his dark skin, allowing them to stand out even more.
Like all Na’vi, he keeps clothing to a minimum. His loincloth consists of a braided rope that sits on his hips and two longer, square shaped cloth flaps that cover his crotch and his rear end. A small hole at the very top of the rear cloth flap allows his tail to still move freely. His forearms have braces that he uses for defense purposes when needed, the left one has a scabbard for a knife built into it. Both his ankles have braided anklets with small, pointed teeth that hang off of it. His biceps have dark red armbands on them, three on his right arm, two on his left. Tukru wears two necklaces, both have a leather band but each have a different item on it. The first has a curved claw about four inches long and the second has a clear blue gemstone on it. This gemstone has been passed down to each Olo’eyktan, and Tukru wears it with pride.
His most valued items though are his weapons. A leather bandoleer has three loops in it to house these weapons, the bandoleer has faded dark red paint on it in intricate swirls similar to his tattoos. The weapons carried in it are three spears, two short and one longer. Made strong with a razor-sharp tip, the heads each have two feathers, one green, and one blue on the wide end of them where the head meets the spear shaft. Like the arrows the Na’vi are so fond of, Tukru dips the heads of his spears in the same poison. These spears are known as Takuk, and like the gemstone necklace, are handed down to each Olo’eyktan.
Personality:
Tukru is a very amiable man. Even though he is the Olo’eyktan, he holds no arrogance over the position, he is humble and completely devoted to the Itami and Eywa. It is very difficult to upset Tukru, being one of the most patient people one would ever meet. There are two things guaranteed to instantly anger him though, the first being anything that tries to harm the people of his Tribe, and the other, more serious offense would be to even talk about hurting Lanak.
Ever since Tukru first met her, he has been completely devoted to her. He would do anything and everything for Lanak, and trusts her wisdom more than anything else. Even after years at her side, whenever he hears, smells, or sees Lanak, a big grin touches his lips and he feels his pulse speed up a hair, eternally pleased to see his mate. He can be a bit feisty with her, affectionate nibbles and gentle massages common when around his mate. When it comes to sleeping, Tukru is a very light sleeper, and he flat out won’t get a wink of it if Lanak isn’t lying next to him. He always spoons her when they’ve fallen asleep, but always runs his hand up and down her arm to help her relax, always sure that she’s asleep before he is.
He makes a point to roam around camp in the morning, whether it be to help his Tribe with various chores that need to be done, socializing with them, helping prepare food, or playing with children, Tukru makes sure his people know that he is there and always willing to help. He enjoys eating meat more so than anything else, and prefers to have company when he is eating- whether it be Lanak or anyone else from his Tribe.
When it comes to the Sky People- Tukru is wary. He listens to everything Lanak has to say about them, and usually keeps to short, simple statements when dealing with them. Though he doesn’t necessarily hate them, Tukru far from trusts them. He’ll be polite for the most part, if not a tad condescending. Way Tukru sees it, Sky People are small and weak, not to mention foolish. When they meet up with their Avatars though, Tukru gets more on edge, he knows they aren’t as agile nor strong as the Na’vi when dreamwalking, he is smart enough to realize that they are more of a threat in that form than their human one. Tukru prefers to keep human interaction to a minimum until they see what their motives are- though he’d prefer they just left and never came back.
Talents:
Spear Fighting: Trained by his father alongside his late brothers, Tukru is fierce with both the long and short spear. He uses these both as hunting tools, and as tools of war if needed. His fighting style differs, when using the longer spear, he uses it more as a staff with a poisoned tip than a lance of any sort, using his natural long reach in addition to the spear’s to be a deadly medium ranged warrior. When it comes to the two short spears, he is able to wield them with one hand. He uses them as medium ranged projectiles or like a bladed club if needed. What could be argued as his most deadly would be when he uses the two short spears together in unison, performing a deadly dance of sorts.
Leadership: Tukru is a very charismatic person. Whether it is from his mighty appearance, or the humble demeanor he possesses, the Itami tribe is as loyal to him as he is to it. His word is law, and they all know this. Tukru is patient with his people though, something he knows is appreciated. Respect comes off of his being in waves, both sent and received.
Pa’li Master: Along with most of the Itami, Tukru is as comfortable moving with a Pa’li as his own body. He doesn’t need to hold on with more than his legs if needed. Tukru speaks softly to the Pa’li, and is a natural with them. Like his Tribe, with the exception of Lanak, he does not pick favorites among the Itami’s Pa’li, he sees each one as special and a gift from Eywa, one he is very grateful for.
History:
Tukru’atan was born twenty six years ago to the Olo’eyktan Zekwa and Tsahik Mawey’tirol of the Itami Tribe. He was their third son, and last child, his two brothers being two and fours years older than Tukru. The eldest brother, Tsyal, was less than fond of Tukru, as another brother was nothing more to him than another person to challenge his claim for Olo’eyktan when the time comes. His elder brother of two years was Hufwe- a very gentle, calm individual who spoke very softly. Despite being the ‘baby’ of the family, Zekwa was every bit as strict with him as he was the other boys. Mawey however, was more lenient on her sons, she was the one they could confide in if ever needed. Though Zekwa was hard on his sons, it wasn’t out of hate, he just wanted to make sure his sons were ready for the life ahead of them. Even from a young age he began to teach them about the various flora and fauna of their plains, which were fine to eat, which to avoid, and other such things.
His mother taught her sons of Eywa, and the gifts she gives each and every day, and taught them to be grateful for every moment. When not training alongside other hunters of the Itami, the boys would often spar with one another, each trained in the fighting style of their family- spear combat. To his family’s surprise, Tukru seemed to be more of a natural with these weapons than even his brothers whom had years of training ahead of their littlest brother. When he wielded the spears, they felt more like an extension of his own body than a tool of any type. Zekwa found this interesting, even if he wasn’t the Tsakik, his years at Mawey’s side aided him in seeing signs from Eywa. Tsyal noticed how his father looked at Tukru, and the elder brother simply did not like that.
One day, when Tukru was eleven, Tsyal told him and Hufwe to follow him, that he had made an amazing discovery. The two younger boys trusted their brother, and followed him on foot out into the plains. Little did they know, but Tsyal had planned on how to clinch his spot as the next Olo’eyktan. After an hour walk, the boys ended up at a nest in the grass filled with three eggs. What Tsyal happened to leave out, was that the eggs’ mother wasn’t far behind. With a ear quaking roar the beast lunged from the grasses at the boys, Hufwe and Tukru soon realized that Tsyal had left them in his dust, the oldest brother was nowhere in sight. The beast swiped it claws across Tukru’s chest, the young boy soon passed out from the agony, certain that he would be with Eywa again soon.
His vision darkened, and that was the last thing he remembered.
Hours later he awoke, bandaged and confused in a hut of his people. Mawey was at his side, her eyes closed in prayer as a healer tended to his wounds. A girl he had only seen in the village was there as well, he knew her only by name, and that name was Lanak. The girl simply stunned the boy, he didn’t even pay mind to what had just happened before Mawey opened her eyes to smile at her son. Later on, he found out that both Hufwe, and Tsyal had been killed by the beast and its mate. Tukru told his mother and father what had happened up to the point where he had passed out. Zekwa filled in the rest for Tukru, how he and a group of hunters witnessed the boys out in the distance, and immediately mounted up to retrieve them. But they only made it in time to slay the beasts before they attacked the unconscious Tukru.
It took some time for Tukru to recover from his wounds, both physical and emotional. The sheer fact that his own brother had tried to kill him was still a shock to the boy. But after a few years, the wounds fully healed, and mostly thanks to that girl in the hut, Lanak. During the months it took for Tukru to heal physically, Lanak was a constant presence, and a welcome one. It was soon explained to him that she was the future Tsahik- and his future betrothed. As they entered their teen years, Tukru became more and more dependent on Lanak’s presence. He knew that Eywa herself was the one who pushed him towards her, and Tukru always did as Eywa whispered to him.
As Tukru went through his teen years he trained harder, and worked as much as any other member of the Itami. He even did this after his father approached him to deliver terrible news. Zekwa was ill, a mysterious disease that none of their healers were able to diagnose. However, the Olo’eyktan didn’t see it as a bad thing, he claimed that Eywa just wanted to see him sooner than most- and that he was far from worried about his beloved Itami. Tukru felt an immense sense of pride as his father explained that once Eywa beckons him back to her, that the Itami would be in capable hands. In only a few more years, he would begin to waste away as Tukru and Mawey watched helplessly.
After Tukru passed his coming of age ceremony, he was now able to choose a woman. With no time wasted, he approached the slightly older Lanak, and the two spent the night together out in the gentle grasses of the plains. That next morning they arrived at camp as man and woman, but only to find that Zekwa had passed on over night. At twenty-one he had become one of the youngest Olo’eyktan ever to lead the Itami.
His last five years as Tribe leader to the Itami have gone smoothly for the most part. He has turned down Kai’mana, the Olo’eyktan of the Alehuai, in his attempts to get the Itami to join him in removing the Sky People by force. However, Tukru still will not let the dreamwalkers move among his people unsupervised, his opinion still not completely set on them. Lanak and him have yet to conceive an heir, but Tukru remains optimistic, he knows that when the time comes, their child will be given by Eywa.

Dew clung to the purple hued grasses that swayed gently in the morning breeze. It was a quiet, calm morning, the sun just began to break the horizon and bathe the fields in its amber glow. A slight whisper sang through the grasses around the camp the Itami Tribe had set up a few days ago, its huts silent from the still sleeping Na’vi. All but one, a large male with a mane of hair, and a pleased expression stood just outside one of the huts. As always, Olo’eyktan Tukru’atan was first to rise in the morning, even if it was hard to pull away from the warmth of Lanak’s soft skin, he still made sure to wake before the rest of the Itami. His golden gaze turned back as he peered into the hut once more, a soft smile touched his lips at the sight of Lanak still asleep.
With a gentle sigh he stepped away from the hut. Several had been set up in a circle around the spot where a makeshift fire pit had been made using stones found around the area. Tukru knelt down and ran his right hand over one of the stones, silently thanking Eywa for giving them such perfect ones for their fire. He picked up a smaller pair of stones and began to strike the two together before sparks shed from them onto the kindling set up before he went to sleep. With a small crackle the kindling took and Tukru added to the fire, but left it to blossom on its own.
After he was certain the fire would handle itself he stood and looked around for something else to do before everyone awoke. But his search was broken when a very young girl poked her head from her family’s hut. A broad smile touched Tukru’s lips, he had spoken with this young one before, and she was pleasant company.
”Good morning, little one. I see you.”
He said with a slight bow of his head. The girl smiled back and tip-toed from her hut to approach Tukru. She was known as Seze‘it, daughter to one of Itami’s best weavers. Just as Tukru was usually the first person to wake, Seze was a common site to follow.
“I see you, Olo’eyktan. Sleep sweet?”
She responded as she beamed up at him. Tukru nodded and gestured to the spot next to the fire. Seze gracefully sat down and Tukru followed suit. He reached for a piece of jerky that was recently done and grabbed a decent sized one that he tore in half. One half went to Seze while the other he held before eating. Silently he thanks Eywa for the meal before he brought the food to his mouth to take a bite, the salty meat almost melted in his mouth as he chewed, a slight purr of happiness sounded from him, making Seze giggle. Tukru grinned down at her and raised his brow briefly which earned another giggle from the girl. Just another perfect morning among his beloved Itami- Tukru wouldn’t have it any other way.
