Name: Nayúnva
Age: Twnety-four
Secret Word: Sent
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Race: Na'vi
Tribe: Aylukana
Mount: Nayúnva rides on an Ikran, by the name of Likra(female). Likra is mainly teal from her head to her middle back, where her color turns to a lighter shade of teal, then to a pink towards her wings. On the thicker part of her wings, she displays a mostly pink complexion, tinted with the teal more towards the actual wings themselves. The wings are a beautiful translucent teal, like many of the other Ikran. A closer look at Likra's head provides for the viewing of pink towards the bottom of her chin, and around her eyes. However, this pink is very faint, and often diificult to see unless in correct lighting. Likra's belly is an off-white creamy color in shade, similar to most Ikran. Likra's tail is a mix of the pink and teal in an inconsistent pattern. The black markings that cover her body are generally softer and a bit on the flowing sode, wrapping around the Ikrans body.
Likra herself is not a particularly nice creature, but then again, what Ikran are? Even after the bond was made, she seemed to still be snappy to anyone other than Nayúnva. When it comes to Nayúnva, she has a playful relationship with her, often shoving the Na'vi from behind with her broad head when she leasts expects it.
Physical Description:
Nayúnva stnads at about 10'2, average for a Na'vi. Her skin is light blue, with darker blue for the stripes that cover her body. Like most Na'vi women, she is thin with small curves, though she is often regarded as beautiful. She has a gentle striping pattern, of moderately thick, and infrequent tiger-esque stripes. On her face, she has her signature stripes, which curve in accordance with the natural curve of her face.
Her face has high cheekbones, and large, cat like eyes which are a deep gold. Her ears are long, arching back with her head. On both ears, near the tip of her ears on the bottom is pierced. very small hoops not wide enough for a figer to go through, with small beads are on both ears. On the right ear is a blue bead and a purple bead, and the left ear is a pink bead and green bead.
She has long, black hair that goes down to her mid-back in length. Her queue, however, hangs about two inches longer. Her hair is half braided. The top half is braided traditionally, while the bottom half closer to her head is left unbraided. The braided sections have a mixed combination of either pink, purple or blue beads in pairs of two or three at the bottom of each braid. On her left side near the bottom of the hair, there is a teal feather and a purple feather.
The small pattern of what resembles glowing dots flitter all over her body. They make spiraling patterns on her back, but otherwise make lines that follow the natural curve of her body. The dots follow the arch of her eyebrows back to her ears, revealing her firey temperament. On her stomach the dots continue, making long, spiraling patterns.
Around her neck hangs her chest piece, which follows the other coloring patterns that cover her body. The brown fastenings that make the low loop are covered in the constant pattern of pink, purple, and blue feathers. In between each feather is a small hanging leather-like string that has three teal beads on it. Adorning her waist is a small leather-like drawstring bag, that accompanies her loin cloth. The small bag ties closed, and has two blue beads on each string strip to keep it from coming undone. On her ankle is a small strip of leather, which has three small feathers hanging from it. One blue, one pink, and one purple.
Nayúnva Carries a bow, which is relatively simple, although at it's top tip it does have one blue feather attached to it.
Personality:
Nayúnva is firey, to say the least. Being a warrior of the Aylukana she has no issue when it comes to fighting. It is often said about her, that 'she is like a beautiful flower, that bites at whomever tries to touch it'. Needless to say, she has yet to find a mate.
Her soft side is virtually nonexistant. She only really avoids making good use of her sharp tounge and sarcasm around her Ikran, or with those she has known for a very long time and is exceptionally close to. Those whom she is close to, however, say that her firey personality seems to come from a strong urge to take care of her people, and an almost motherly instictive devotion to her tribe.
Nayúnva has a reputation for always being the first to speak her mind, and is unafraid of saying how she feels on subjects. Because of this, she is respected among her tribe despite her young age.
She is fearless, and because of this is unafraid to charge into battles. Accompanied by her fearlessness is hard-headed determination. Because of this, she is always striving to be a better warrior for her tribe.
Loyalty would be the last thing that anyone would question Nayúnva about. She has proved many times that she is fiercely loyal and would do anything she can for her tribe. However, because of this loyalty it gives her a very strong viewpoint when it comes to the Dreamwalkers and humans.
Her tolerance when it comes to the Dreamwalkers and Humans is nonexistant. She strongly believes that they should all go back to their destroyed planet, before they destroy the Na'vi planet. She beleives that humans are incompetent creatures, and has no desire to ever have to deal with any of them. As a result, she stays far away from their base, and will not attend any meetings involving the creatures, or concerning them. She has made it clear what her viewpoint on the humans are. The only good human, is a dead one.
Talents:
Nature: Just as every Na'vi, Nayúnva has a strong connection with the earth around her. However, she feels even more strongly about it. Every life she automatically can relate to, often making her appreciate everything around her on an enhanced level.
Flying: When it comes to riding Ikran, Nayúnva lives for nothing more. She would spend her whole life in the air flying if she had the option. She lives for the pure rush of it, and the adrenaline rush she gets never seems to fade away. It helps that she has a very close bond with her Ikran, Likra. And although she lacks in the shooting department, she makes up for it easily with her swift aerobatics while in flight.
Speed and endurace: Nayúnva is not a particularly strong Na'vi, but she is very fast, and has relatively good endurance. She runs quickly and has sharp reflexes, which allows her to move with swift ease throughout the forest, and run for long distances without too much strain on herself.
History:
Nayúnva was born to her mother Jinka and her father Gondu. Her mother was a strong hunter, and her father a warrior. While she respected her mother's postition as a strong hunter, and had gained many of the assests that would make her an excellent hunter, she had always admired the large Ikran and the warriors ability to work with them from a very young age. As a result, she decided to pursue the path of a warrior instead of the path of a hunter.
She began her training early, under the guidance of her father, and quickly picked up on what it took to be a great warrior. Her path to a warrior was a difficult one, as she was more built for a hunter, but had her heart set on being a warrior. However, she tried as hard as she could to be trained as well as possible. Her father taught her in the ways of their tribe, and often would tell her stories of how he fought against the Skypeople. As a result of her father's stories, she became embedded with a firm dislike of the Humans and the Dreamwalkers in general, despite the stories of the Toruk Makto named Jakesully, a dreamwalker himself.
When she was seventeen, she was finally initiated as a Warrior, and was taken to claim her own Ikran. The battle between the two was, to say the least, not pretty. But, in the end, it concluded with an inseperable bond between both Ikran and Na'vi, both young and eager. She nearly was killed in an incident with a Toruk, which she managed to avoid only by assistance from her friend.
When Nayúnva was nineteen, the same friend that saved her life offered to become her mate. And although it broke her heart to see him hurt, she had to decline him. Nayúnva did not feel the connection with him that he felt with her, and she cound not be mated to him. She still feels some sorrow occasionally for her decision, as he saved her life, but she could not force herself into the relationship. Since then, she had a few offers from a couple other males in the tribe, but denied them.
When the humans returned, Nayúnva was furious. She was amongst the Na'vi in her tribe that did not want anything to do with these human dreamwalkers, despite their seemingly simple desires. A simple study of the land. Nayúnva did not beleive this to be true, especially since they still came with some warriors, though very few, of their own.
Nayúnva still distrusts the dreamwalkers, although they seem to have brought no harm thus far. Still, her reaction to them is the same. Harsh, and standoffish. She has avoided them as much as possible thus far.
RP Sample:
Nayúnva walked through hometree, slowly making her way towards the top of the tree, where she knew that the Ikran would be roosting. She had nothing to do, today, it seemed. So, as a result, she was left to wander around. She had an ultimate goal of riding Likra today, but wasn't in any particular hurry to get there.
As she passed by an open doorway, she heard a sweet, soft voice call out to her. "Nayúnva," She would recognize the voice of her mother anywhere. "come, make yourself useful." Nayúnva wakled towards her mother, her bare feet making no noise against the bark of the Hometree. Her mother was seated in the center of the room, sewing some sort of article, it seemed. "Here. Hold this." Her mother ordere simply, holding out a piece of the article, which seemed now to be a chestpiece.
Nayúnva sat next to her mother, holding the peice as she had requested, and watched her mothers busty hands as she worked. Her mother was aged, but had done so gracefully, still having that long, noble look to her face. Her dark hair was long very much like Nayúnva's, except it was completely braided, with different accessories woven in. She was beautiful, and Nayúnva had always admired her for that, and for her strong personality.
"What are you doing today, my daughter?" She asked Nayúnva, her eyes flittering off of her work for only a second before looking back down at her work, and picking up an additional bead to add on to the piece. "I was just planning on riding Likra." Nayúnva answered simply. "You should be planning on fiding yourself a mate." Came her mothers quick response, though Nayúnva could sense the humor in her voice. "I would find myself one, if I could find someone I want to be mated to." She answered simply. "At this rate I will have no grandchildren." Her mother replied. She paused for a moment, before continuing. "How about Larok? He is skilled with a bow. Or Nitou? He rides his Ikran almost as well as you do."
Nayúnva flicked her ears in annoyance. "I don't want Larok or Nitou. Larok does his hair so strangely, and Nitou would just as soon welcome the dreamwalkers amongst us." Her mother only let out an amused chuckle. "You are so strong willed." She said simply. "I am sure that you would need a man just as strong to keep you in check." She paused for a moment, before continuing. "What about Tsik'Toar?"
For once, Nayúnva had nothing to say. Tsik'Toar was an excellent warrior, and shared similar views on the dreamwalkers as she. "Kxawm." She said simply. Maybe. She had not thought of him as her mate. And then, it clicked to her. That was the exact reason why she could not choose him. She had never thought of him as anything more. "Kehe." She finally said. No. "Oeng lu nì'aw meylan." We are only friends.
Her mother let out a sigh. "Fine then. Go to your Ikran. But this conversation is not over. I will talk to you about this again soon." Nayúnva nodded to her mother, and stood. "I don't doubt it." Nayúnva said simply. "Eywagahunt" Ewya be with you. She said, bidding her mother farewell. "Eywagahunt." Her mother returned, lifting her head to nod at Nayúnva as the girl headed out, back to the center of hometree.
